How to create a new collection?

❓ Issue/Question

• How do I create a collection on the ScorePlay platform?
• When I search for the parent collection in “Select a collection”, it never gives me the right one and I have to scroll and scroll

👌 Resolution/Answer

• Start a new collection
  • Go to Configure > Collection Management
  • Click New

• You can also create a collection from the Upload page with Create new collection
• To create a sub-collection, you can also open the parent collection, click the … (3 dots) on the right side and select Create Sub-collection. The parent collection is assigned automatically

• Fill in the details
  • Enter the Name, Date and Parent collection
    • The new collection is created inside the parent collection
  • Turn on Auto-apply tags from the parent collection so the new collection gets all the tags of its parent
  • Add Teams, External groups and Add Tags
    • These tags are added to every media in the collection
• Advanced settings (optional)
  • Use Raw name to give the collection an external ID
  • Turn on Teams - require player detection so teams are only tagged when the AI detects a player from that team

🔖 Notes

• If many collections share the same word (for example, a year), searching for the parent collection shows many results. Creating the collection from its parent avoids having to search for it
• I can't create a sub-collection
