❓ Issue/Question
- I would like to give my photographers who use the FTP function access to our live feed, so they can see which pictures they've sent and check that everything goes smoothly.
- How can I create a user who has access to the live feed but doesn't have access to our collections?
👌 Resolution/Answer
-
Create a dedicated account type with Live permissions only
- Go to the account type settings and create a new account type, for example FTP Photographer
- Under
Live, clickEnable all permissions, then switch offCan view live presets - Leave every other permission disabled, including
Media LibraryandCollections, so the user can't browse the library

-
Assign the photographers to it
- Open each photographer's user profile and change their account type to the one you created
- The photographer can then open
Live>Media from FTPand follow the photos arriving from their FTP profile
🔖 Notes
- Photographers who only need to upload photos and view media, not the Live feed, can use the setup in How to set up an account for photographers who only upload and view media?
- Keep
Can downloadoff if the photographers shouldn't retrieve files from the platform - Where do I upload my photos as a photographer?
