I can't see the current live stream from the Live section

❓ Issue/Question

  • We can't see the live feed on the Live Media page from our end; we can only see the Schedule page
  • I can see the Schedule tab, but the actual live stream doesn't show up when I go to Live Media. Why is that?
  • One of our video editors says they can only see recordings, not live streams, even though they have access to the Live section. Is this a permissions issue?
  • I usually can see the live stream on the left of the page but I can't see it now. Please can you point me in the direction of the X livestream link

 

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • Get the live permissions enabled
    • Please contact your platform administrator to request that these permissions be enabled for your account type
      • Media library > Can view live media
      • Live > Can view page
      • Live > Can view stream
    • Refresh the page once they're enabled
    • Check that the live stream shows up
    • If you're unsure who your platform administrator is, please reach out to the ScorePlay Support team via Live Chat, and we'll help you identify the right contact
  • Log in with your email and password
    • Log out of ScorePlay
    • On the login page, sign in with your email and password instead of SSO
    • Open the Live section and check that the live stream shows up

 

🥚 Cause

  • Since a recent permissions update, your account type needs the Media library > Can view live media permission
  • Without it, you can open the Live section and see parts of it, like the Schedule, but the live stream doesn't show up in Live Media or the Media library
