โ“ Issue/Question

  • How can I test uploading to Live mode / FTP server?
  • How to test FTP upload using Cyberduck?
  • How to generate FTP credentials?

ย

๐Ÿ‘Œ Resolution/Answer

  • Go to Live > Media from FTP

  • Click Camera FTP
    • If you don't see this feature, reach out to the ScorePlay Support team via Live Chat
  • A window opens with two sections: Connection details and Photographers

  • In the Connection details section, use the toggle to switch between the USA and EU servers
  • Switching updates the Host and Host (IP-only cameras) fields. Both work, but pick the server closest to your region

  • In the Photographers section, click + New FTP user
  • Enter a username of your choice. A password is generated automatically, and you can update it at any time with the Generate password button

  • Click Create to create the FTP user with its own login credentials

  • Share the username, password and the connection details from the Connection details section with your photographer

๐Ÿ”– Notes

  • โš ๏ธ The old FTP servers (ftp.media.scoreplay.io for the US, eu-ftp.scoreplay.io for the EU) have been decommissioned effective October 1, 2026. If you were using those addresses, update your camera or FTP client to these new host addresses to avoid any interruption:
    • For Europe: live-ftp-eu.scoreplay.io or 52.58.253.158
    • For NA: live-ftp-us.scoreplay.io or 44.209.213.129
  • Each FTP user automatically gets their own folder and tag. Photographers can upload directly to the root of the FTP server, with no need to set a specific path. Files land in the right photographer folder and are tagged automatically
  • To create a sub-path for a specific photographer, go to Upload > Create FTP Path and share the path along with the credentials
  • The password can't be viewed again. If the photographer needs a password reset, delete the FTP user and create a new one
  • The username is automatically prefixed with your platform's subdomain (e.g. if you type xav, the login becomes onprem_xav). Share the full username as it appears in the list
  • Use the host address rather than the raw IP when possible. SFTP and FTPS aren't supported, only plain FTP in passive mode
