What is the Day View and how I can use it?

• Is there another way to schedule the live ingest other than the classic view?
• What is the day view feature when scheduling a new stream?

👌 Resolution/Answer

• Open the Day View
  • Go to Live > Live Media and click Calendar in the List / Calendar toggle
  • The Day View shows every event of the day from 00:00 to 23:59. Receiver groups, receivers and pull receivers are listed down the side and time runs across the top
  • A vertical line marks the current time
  • Each event shows its status, which refreshes on its own
    

• What the Day View lets you do:
  • Create a schedule by dragging. Drag across the timeline on the row of the receiver you want, and a schedule is created for that window. No form to fill in first
  • Duplicate in one click. Copy an existing schedule instead of rebuilding it — useful when the same feeds repeat day after day
  • See the whole day at once. Every schedule, on every receiver, laid out visually. Gaps, overlaps, and feeds you forgot to schedule are obvious at a glance
  • Adjust quickly as plans change. Times can be reworked directly in the view rather than opening each schedule
  • Checking your setup before going live. The calendar makes it easy to spot schedules on the wrong day or missing from a receiver, helping you verify your feeds are correctly scheduled before the event starts
