Empty collection is hidden for a user with excluded tags

❓ Issue/Question

• Why can't X see the collections, he saw it before and also started uploading
• A user with excluded tags can't see an empty collection, even with Empty collections turned on and when the collection has none of their excluded tags

👌 Resolution/Answer

• Workaround A
  • Upload one media into the collection
  • To show a sub-collection, upload the media into that sub-collection instead
  • The collection, and every collection above it, appears for the user
• Workaround B
  • Go to Configure > Users and open the user
  • Remove all tags from their Exclude tags

  • Click Update user
• Workaround C
  • Share the collection's link with the user
  • The collection opens for them, even while it's hidden from the list

🥚 Cause

• When a user has any excluded tags, empty collections are hidden from them, even if the collection carries none of those tags

• This has already been reported to our tech team for review and a fix
• Collection is visible to one user but missing for another with the same access
