โ Issue/Question
- I would like to know what transcoding options the platform has when ingesting a master, and which transcoding profiles it can export beyond the internal proxies
ย
๐ Resolution/Answer
- ScorePlay accepts any FFmpeg-compatible format when a master is ingested, including broadcast MXF (OP1a, XDCAM, AVC-Intra) and ProRes
- For every ingested video, ScorePlay automatically generates an HLS stream for playback and two H.264 MP4 proxies, up to 1080p
- The original master is kept and stays available for download in its native format
- Beyond the master and these proxies, exports are limited to web-optimized formats. Broadcast export profiles, such as ProRes 422, XDCAM50, DNxHD or AVC-Intra 100, and custom profiles per destination aren't available
ย
๐ Notes
- To get a file in a broadcast format, download the original master and transcode it outside ScorePlay
- Can .MXF files be downloaded as .MP4?ย
- Default codecs used for video proxiesย
