❓ Issue/Question

  • I am looking to share this main project (and all of the subs) internally so others can add more subprojects. From there, to then eventually share the main project (with all subs) externally
  • Do sub-projects need to stay public for other collaborators on the parent project to see them? And how do you restrict a sub-project to a smaller group?

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • To limit a project to specific users, set its visibility to Invite only
  • Sub-project visibility follows the sub-project’s own setting, not the parent project’s
    • Public sub-project: everyone with access to the parent project can see and open it
    • Invite only sub-project: only the users you add can see it, and other collaborators keep working in the parent project without seeing it
