❓ Issue/Question
- An external user with access to several portals sees them in an order that doesn't seem to follow any logic. What decides that order, and can it be changed?
👌 Resolution/Answer
- The platform doesn't currently apply a sort order to portals on the Portal access page. They aren't ordered by name, by creation date, or by when the external group was given access.
- Portals appear in the order they're stored, and that order can change when a portal is edited.
- The order can't be configured today. Adding, removing, or re-adding an external group to a portal doesn't reliably move that portal to the top or bottom of the list.
- A fixed, predictable portal order has been added to our product roadmap as an improvement.
💡 Cause
- The Portal access page displays portals without any sorting rule. This is a known limitation.
